Staying Consistent as the Nights Draw In

As autumn sets in, the mornings get darker, the evenings get colder and the sofa starts to look very inviting.

It's the time of year when routines can slip. Here's how to keep yours going strong.

Book ahead

The easiest way to stay consistent is to take the decision out of the moment. Book your classes for the next two weeks and treat them like any other appointment. Classes open 14 days in advance in the Fitt. app.

Find your time

If dark mornings are a struggle, try a lunchtime or early evening class. If evenings are busy, an early class gets it done before the day takes over.

Make it cosy

Pack a warm layer for after class, take a hot shower in our changing rooms and treat yourself to a coffee or matcha from the café. Something to look forward to makes it easier to get out the door.

Keep it varied

Try a new class style to keep things exciting. A high-energy Sweat class can be just what you need on a grey day, while Strength and Yoga are perfect when you want to slow down.

Bring a friend

You're much less likely to cancel when someone is meeting you there. Book together and keep each other on track.

Remember how it feels

You never regret a class once you're there. Keep that feeling in mind, and let it get you through the door.
