Women Only Studio Policy

1. Purpose

This policy sets out the eligibility criteria for admission to Fitt., a women-only fitness and wellness studio. It is designed to ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 while supporting our commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for our community.

2. Legal Basis

Under Schedule 3, Part 7 of the Equality Act 2010, service providers may provide single-sex services where doing so is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim, including protecting privacy, dignity, safety, and wellbeing.

Fitt. operates as a women-only facility on this basis.

3. Admission Criteria

Membership and access to Fitt. are restricted to individuals who are biologically female (assigned female at birth).

4. Eligibility and Access

To preserve the intended purpose of our women-only environment, Fitt. does not admit individuals who are biologically male, including those who identify as transgender women or non-binary individuals assigned male at birth.

This policy exists solely to maintain a space where members can exercise with privacy, dignity, and confidence, particularly within shared studio environments and changing facilities.

Our approach is based on the lawful provision of a single-sex service and is not intended to discriminate or cause offence. We recognise and respect the dignity of all individuals while balancing the needs of the community we serve.

Fitt. reserves the right to verify eligibility where reasonably necessary and to refuse or cancel membership where information provided is inaccurate or inconsistent with this policy.
