How to Keep Your Routine Through Summer

Summer is the season of long evenings, weekends away and plans that pop up last minute. It's also the season when routines tend to slip.

You don't need to choose between enjoying summer and staying consistent. Here's how to keep moving through the busiest months of the year.

Plan around your plans

Look at your diary at the start of each week and book your classes around what's already in there. Classes open 14 days in advance, so you can plan ahead for busy weeks and secure the times that work for you.

Lower the bar, don't drop it

If you usually train three times a week, two is still a win. One is still a win. Keeping the habit alive matters more than hitting the same number every week.

Make the most of mornings

Summer mornings are light and bright. An early class sets you up for the day and leaves your evenings free for everything else.

Moving while you're away

Heading on holiday? A few minutes of simple mat work, a walk or a swim will keep your body moving. Then come back to the studio and pick up where you left off.

Come back without guilt

If you've had a week or two off, don't overthink it. Book a class, show up and remind your body what it already knows. Foundations and Strength are both great ways to ease back in.

Summer is for feeling good. Moving is part of that.
